I grew up in Jackson, MS until the age of 11 when I started traveling with my parents due to my dad's job(building hospitals and labs).  I have lived in several places not including Mississippi and not in order such as Texas (Lufkin, McKinney, and San Antonio), North Carolina (Raleigh), South Carolina (Walterboro), Tennessee (Knoxville), and finally Georgia (Macon, Douglasville, and Athens).  Upon arrival in 1987 for my dad to help build the Life Sciences Building at UGA I attended Cedar Shoals High School and we found of all the places that we have ever lived we really enjoyed Athens.

In 1994 I began working at UGA in the University Bookstore, followed by a move to the College of Pharmacy, Physical Plant, Food Sciences, Marine Sciences, College of Public Health, and now I am currently in the Division of Biological Sciences since 2013.  I am responsible for managing the daily operations of the Division, support all faculty and staff for the Division, as well as the Assistant to the Director, Dr. Kristen Miller.

I currently reside in Hull, GA with my husband Mike, my son Austin, a herd of Yorkies, and a rescue dog named Jessie.  I also have a daughter Candice (Devon) who is married and lives in Lexington, GA with my two grand-dogs.  In my spare time (if I can find any) I enjoy reading, revamping furniture, crafts, going to the gym, and going boating and fishing with my family at Lake Oconee.
